I was instrumental in putting in an item for a Mrs. Miriam NEWTON of
Queensland in the "Ask Jack" column of Navy News April 2010 edition in which
she sought information on her late father L.Sig/Yeoman Charles RUMBLE who
served in HM Ships PENNYWORT, CHEQUERS (with me), and NEWCASTLE.
She has heard from one ex-bunting of NEWCASTLE (52-54 Far East) who advises
that the Chief Yeoman was ANDRESON (ANDERSON?), and Yeomen (Charlie RUMBLE),
Rattler MORGAN and Jock ROBERTSON.
I am a member of the RNCCA but none of these gentlemen have been members.
If by chance any of the three are in your association I would be grateful if
you would draw their attention to the item in Navy News. If not please
