Looking for POTEL Wilcox - RN Signals School St Budeaux 1958

I am one of a group of fifteen National Servicemen who trained and qualified as telegraphists at the RN School of Signals, St. Budeaux, Devon in 1958. This training was completed in approximately ten months, after which we went our various ways. In recent years two of the group have been
successful in tracing survivors and we have met on several occasions.
However, there has been no success in tracing our instructor, Petty Officer Telegraphist (POTS) Wilcox. (There have been suggestions that his name could have been John, Desmond or Roger, but these may be misleading). Our group was of mixed age, between eighteen and twenty six, and POTS was of a 'similar' age, but no one positively
recalls his Christian name.
We do know he was an ex Ganges boy and also think he may have been a button boy. We understood that at that time (January 1958), he was the youngest promotion to PO Telegraphist. I imagine he qualified at Petersfield. One of our group is adamant that we joined him to celebrate his twenty first birthday, early in our relationship, which if correct, provides his age.
Previous enquiries with the Ganges Association have been without success. I recently became
aware, and enquired, of the HMS Ganges Museum, but neither are they able to identify him with the information available. They do have some group photographs which I will visit and view, if necessary.
Unlike us he was in for the duration, because of this I feel it only a
matter of time before he was promoted to Chief. If we are fortunate enough to trace him, it is our intention is to invite him to meet with us again.

I have my fingers crossed, thanks for your time.
